plots.plot_trajectory()

Scatter + fitted-curve plot.

Usage

plots.plot_trajectory(
    df,
    fit,
    y_col,
    weight_col,
    player_name,
    lower_better=False,
    metric_description=None
)

metric_description is the plain-language expansion of y_col (e.g. "On-base + Slugging" for OPS). When provided, it’s shown parenthetically in the title and used as the y-axis label so viewers don’t need to read an acronym table.
