Configure DNS
Why an Elastic IP matters here
A reverse proxy that terminates TLS (see Configure SSL) needs a hostname that reliably points at the instance. An Elastic IP is worth allocating before you create that DNS record, because without one a stopped and restarted instance comes back with a new public address, and the record goes stale until someone notices and repoints it.
